The Himalaya carries climate and disaster risk few places share, and terrain makes every response slower: slower warning, slower rescue, slower repair. That distance is what technology can shorten. This track focuses on the tools, systems and strategies that help communities anticipate, withstand and recover from climate driven hazards, and on turning resilience into an arena for enterprise, not only relief.
What this track will do
• Understand the region's climate and disaster challenges and the gaps in present responses
• Showcase innovations in early warning, monitoring and resilient infrastructure
• Identify opportunities for startups in risk reduction, preparedness and recovery
• Connect innovators with disaster agencies, investors and implementation partners
• Develop solutions ready for implementation in Himalayan regions
What this track will produce
• A named list of priority resilience gaps
• A shortlist of technologies ready for piloting
• Introductions between developers and deploying agencies
• A one page roadmap for the summit outcome document
