Securing clean, reliable energy is fundamental to the Himalayan region’s development, especially as it confronts the dual challenges of climate change and socio-economic vulnerability. This session delves into how integrated energy strategies — from microgrids and renewables to policy reforms and inclusive financing — can simultaneously promote climate resilience and equitable growth.
Bridging disciplines such as environmental policy, rural development, energy engineering, and sustainability studies, this dialogue will explore scalable models that prioritize both environmental limits and social justice in mountain economies.
