Preserving Wisdom: Indigenous Knowledge and Rural Culture in the Himalayan Region.
She is an academic involved in the cultural domain of indigenous knowledge her research interests integrate art craft design and their inter-disciplinary exchange within the public domain. She is the recipient of HILL grant which will focus on the revival and promotion of fiber extracted from the Bhimal tree from Uttarakhand.
The primary objective of track is preservation and promotion of Indigenous knowledge from the Himalayan region to enable resolving present day social and cultural challenges. The track invites applications from diverse disciplines, but not limited to – food and health, tourism, architecture, education, art craft and design, law and administration, commerce, textual and oral traditions, environment etc.
