Renewable Energy in Himalayas.

Dr. Surajit Mondal is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) at UPES, Dehradun, with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and expertise in Energy Systems. He's a certified ISO 50001:2018 Lead Auditor and has over 9 years of experience in teaching, research, and project management. Dr. Mondal has organized 30+ conferences, published 45 research articles (30 in Scopus/SCI journals), and holds 68 patents (26 granted). He has overseen projects totaling over INR 75 Lakhs and secured INR 1.2 Crore for Research Lab development. He actively manages UPES's IPR Cell and Centre for Alternate Energy Research, and contributes to university accreditation processes. Dr. Mondal also supports faculty in R&D projects, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence.

The "Renewable Energy in the Himalayas" session will explore sustainable energy solutions, emphasizing the region's potential for solar, wind, and hydropower to promote sustainable development, reduce fossil fuel dependency, and address environmental challenges in the Himalayas.
